The Final Presentations- Uganda

I may be a few minutes late today  but please wait up...

We are going to do our final Uganda presentations today...

Thank you for sending me your documents yesterday.

However, there was a problem with my First Class yesterday.

Some documents got "lost" when uploading them.

Please re-send them- those who sent to First Class.

We will also be doing 2 final quizzes today so that people can win some candy!

The last one will be at the beginning of the lesson tomorrow.

Presentations and discussions about the national test

Today we start our presentations of the Ugandan Project...

We will begin them at the latest 3 p.m. (15.00)

Before you do your presentation remember to email me 2 things:

1. 1 page of text clearly marked with the SUBJECT and 
GROUP MEMBERS

2. A copy of /or link to    YOUR PRESENTATION

Remember NO READING

I will mark your presentation based on the  document you got last term

All presentations will be filmed in order to make YouTube an even more interesting place to visit ;-)


Until then I want to speak to all the people in the striped pyjamas who escaped yesterday (only joking!) and talk about the results of the National Test.

The rest of the presentations will be next Monday 2nd June.

The rest of the time today will be divided between three activities:

1. Your Ugandan Project

  • The presentation
  • A page of text
(You will also have half the lesson tomorrow to be done)

The first presentations will be at 15.00 tomorrow in 1205

All the groups should be almost ready by then!!!!

2. Make sure you have done the assessment befor you bother to come and talk to me to Check out the result of your national test in English!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

N.B.The grade for the test is NOT necessarily the grade for the course.

Final project- Life in Uganda

As a preparation for the future connection with Soroti we are going to finish off the year with a final project

During week 21-22 you will have the opportunity to do a Final Project.

The theme of the project is to present different aspects of life in Uganda.

We will divide the class into 9 groups with 3 students in each group,



You are going to present your mini-project on Tuesday week 22/ Monday week 23.



The project will be in the form of a simple presentation such as  a powerpoint, prezi etc



But also a one page document that we can put together so that everyone in the class has a picture of life in Uganda /Soroti


You can present facts, attitudes, opinions etc.
